Jenni Lyn spent most of her time growing up in the Southern Ohio River Valley. Her mother's family originated from Kentucky and her father's originated out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
As a young girl, she always had a passion for singing. She was entered in the "You can be a Star" contest on TWN Network, where she became a finalist. After performing to the public for the first time, Jenni decided that she would pursue a career in singing. For a while, Jenni sang at every bar, club, and festival that she could.
In 1996 she fronted a band called "Jenni Lyn and the Wild River Band", which took her Criss-Crossing the United States singing in some of the largest venues in the country.
Soon after that, she went under the management of a former MCA Records Vice President and Country Hall of Famer, Walt Haynes. This new management took her to new levels in her country singing career.
Wanting to explore new sides of the country music field she decided to try her hand at Bluegrass. Her first year in the business Jenni signed a National Contract and her first CD was nominated by the IBMA. Three years later, her second CD was also nominated. Her singing career has brought her many positive reviews and awards.
Hitting closer to home, Jenni is particularly proud of her Appalachian Area Award "50 Miles of Heros". Some of the other people who were available for this award because of demographics alongside Jenni were; Ricky Scaggs, The Judds, Billy Ray Cyrus and many more.
Jenni says she will sing as long as she can.
